Hong Kong based SIMEC Group hosted the launch of their newest Energy asset, Uskmouth Power Station (www.simecuskmouthpower.com). The event was well attended by Newport, Welsh and London government officials, finance partners, key suppliers, friends, family and employees.
The plant was inaugurated on June 12, 2015 by the Honorable MP Alun Cairns and the Honorary Consul of India in Wales Raj Kumar Aggarwal OBE, DL.

Uskmouth is a good investment for SIMEC and will result in significant employment and economic activity for Wales and the UK” said SIMEC Chairman PK Gupta.
SIMEC Uskmouth Power will be a renewable energy hub for the Group. A combination of converting the existing plant to biomass, development of a biomass processing plant, waste to energy generation using latest pyrolysis gasification technology, solar, wind, reserve power generation for the UK grid, fuel cell and cutting edge green house gas emissions reductions systems are planned. The site and related group sites have significant land available for development along with water, rail and road access.
The group plans to be a hub for proven clean technologies and a development ground for the next generation of green technologies.
